Pandemic HOPE Transformation
Exploring thoughtful reflections on impacts of Covid
As The World Is Under a Mass Global Shutdown
Due to Fears of a Pandemic Arising
There are some thoughtful lengthy pieces being written
about what we are going through during this pandemic
and what and who we might be once we come out of it.
The purpose of this page is to introduce these writings,
and offer them for stimulus to deepen the conversation
on what is unfolding here and the potentials that are ripening
for us to evolve and transform.
The Impossible Has Already Happened, What Coronavirus Can Teach Us About Hope

THE IMPOSSIBLE HAS ALREADY HAPPENED, WHAT CORONAVIRUS CAN TEACH US ABOUT HOPE. In the midst of fear and isolation, we are learning that profound, positive change is possible. By Rebecca Solnit
“The word “crisis” means, in medical terms, the crossroads a patient reaches, the point at which she will either take the road to recovery or to death. The word “emergency” comes from “emergence” or “emerge”, as if you were ejected from the familiar and urgently need to reorient. The word “catastrophe” comes from a root meaning a sudden overturning.
We have reached a crossroads, we have emerged from what we assumed was normality, things have suddenly overturned. One of our main tasks now – especially those of us who are not sick, are not frontline workers, and are not dealing with other economic or housing difficulties – is to understand this moment, what it might require of us, and what it might make possible.” — Rebecca Solnit
by Charles Eisenstein
“For years, normality has been stretched nearly to its breaking point, a rope pulled tighter and tighter, waiting for a nip of the black swan’s beak to snap it in two. Now that the rope has snapped, do we tie its ends back together, or shall we undo its dangling braids still further, to see what we might weave from them?
Covid-19 is showing us that when humanity is united in common cause, phenomenally rapid change is possible. None of the world’s problems are technically difficult to solve; they originate in human disagreement. In coherency, humanity’s creative powers are boundless. A few months ago, a proposal to halt commercial air travel would have seemed preposterous. Likewise for the radical changes we are making in our social behavior, economy, and the role of government in our lives.
Covid demonstrates the power of our collective will when we agree on what is important.
What else might we achieve, in coherency?
What do we want to achieve, and what world shall we create?
That is always the next question when anyone awakens to their power.
Covid-19 is like a rehab intervention that breaks the addictive hold of normality.”
After Charles Eisenstein posted the above piece online, he sent out this email message.
So, as you may already know, I wrote an essay about Covid-19 called The Coronation. I wasn’t expecting such a massive response. It literally brought down our website despite having just upgraded the server a couple months ago.
I’m going to continue producing material on the topic. We are in it, folks. The initiation we have long been awaiting is underway. As I say in the essay, multiple paths to different futures converge upon the present moment. Anything is possible.”
