Yes, yes, I know
You have problems
I have problems
The world is a mess
People are suffering,
Frustrated, anxious,
Feeling abandoned,
Dying in pain
And yet…
I was just sitting in a park
And a little three-year old girl
Ran ahead of her mommy
Who was going way too slow for her
She was jumping and spinning and dancing
For the pure joy of it
And then she stopped in front of me
And looked deeply into my eyes
She was one of the most beautiful visions
I have ever seen in my life
Staring quietly into my eyes
Stirring me to the absolute depths of my being
Her eyes were huge and so black
They were filled with shining light
Her mouth was a perfect little angel’s bow
She graced me with a big bright smile
And then she ran away…
And it felt like I dissolved
Into a puddle of pure love
It felt like everything superficial in my life
Just melted away
And I was left with something
Sacred and essential
Something so powerful
Everything else dissolved
Yes, yes, I know
You have problems
I have problems
The world is a mess
But we also have love,
Every moment,
In so many endless forms
We have love, love, love
