Heart Plan Vision is developing out a Grand Vision
Leveraging What Works for the Most Rapid and Radical (Core) Societal Transformation
for a New Earth of Great Diversity and Health for All
Here we explore a variety of definitions of “Global Social Transformation”
and a few projects currently underway
“A pivotal new decade has arrived, and it’s not only calling for each of us to be healthier, wiser, happier, and civically engaged. It’s calling for rapid social transformation — an evolutionary leap in our very ways of being human and relating — creating whole-system change. On the surface that seems nearly impossible. But evolutionary emergence always seems miraculous. Is life asking us to open ourselves to participate in a radical, courageous adventure?”
“The world is undergoing important social transformations driven by the impact of globalization, global environmental change and economic and financial crises, resulting in growing inequalities, extreme poverty, exclusion and the denial of basic human rights. These transformations demonstrate the urge for innovative solutions conducive to universal values of peace, human dignity, gender equality and non-violence and non-discrimination. Young women and men, who are the most affected by these changes, are hence the principal key-actors of social transformations.”
What is Social Transformation
“Social transformation refers to the process of change in institutionalized relationships, norms, values, and hierarchies over time. It is the manner in which society changes due to economic growth, science, technological innovations, and war or political upheavals.”Global Social Change Research Project
“The Global Social Change Research Project is a project devoted to bringing a clear understanding to the general public about social change. They have reports about social, political, economic, demographic and technological change throughout the world.”
Social Change Defined
“Social change refers to any significant alteration over time in behavior patterns and cultural values and norms. By “significant” alteration, sociologists mean changes yielding profound social consequences. Examples of significant social changes having long‐term effects include the industrial revolution, the abolition of slavery, and the feminist movement. Today’s sociologists readily acknowledge the vital role that social movements play in inspiring discontented members of a society to bring about social change.”
We collaborate with activists, policy makers and funders to deliver lasting social change
Our Mission: At SCI we are working to secure progressive social change,
so that communities become more inclusive, fairer and peaceful.
“The Social Change Initiative was established in 2015 and is an international charity. Based in Belfast (Northern Ireland), our team draws together people with deep experience of grassroots activism, peacebuilding, advocacy and strategic philanthropy. We work both globally and locally to secure progressive social change, so that communities become more inclusive, fairer and peaceful.
We focus on influencing policy, practice, behaviors and attitudes and believe that social change is most effective and sustainable when those most impacted are involved in defining and securing the change they need. Based on our experience and expertise, we concentrate our efforts in two key areas:
Developing effective and sustainable activism to bring about social change; and
Maximizing the impact of funding to support social change.”

We have not researched this LLC yet, but being it showed up #1 in Bing search engine research, we feel it important to include it here in our research.
“On March 21-22, 2019 the World Academy and the Club of Rome convened a meeting of concerned and committed individuals and organizations to share insights and explore pathways to a new civilization initiative that recognizes the systemic inter-connectedness of people, nations, sectors, activities, challenges, forces and consequences presiding over global development and seeks solutions and processes that transcend the limitations of the current paradigm and giving shape to pathways toward a better future for humanity.”
